Your First Sermon
A step-by-step walkthrough of uploading your first sermon and generating content.
This guide walks you through the full process from upload to export so you can see results in minutes.
Step 1: Upload your sermon
From your dashboard, click New Sermon and choose one of the upload methods:
- Audio or Video — drag and drop a file (MP3, MP4, WAV, or MOV)
- YouTube Link — paste the URL of a sermon video
- Manuscript — upload a PDF, Word document, or paste text directly
SermonAI will process the upload. For audio and video files, this typically takes 60–90 seconds depending on length.
Step 2: Select your content types
Once processing is complete, you'll see options for each of the five content types:
- Sermon Summary
- Discussion Questions
- Verse List
- Blog Post
- Daily Devotions
Select the outputs you want and click Generate. You can always come back later to generate additional types from the same sermon.
Step 3: Review your content
Each generated output appears in its own tab. Read through the content and make any edits directly in the editor. SermonAI aims to match your voice and style, but you may want to adjust wording, add personal notes, or tweak formatting.
Step 4: Export
When you're happy with the results:
- Click Copy to copy the content to your clipboard for pasting into email, social media, or church management tools
- Click Download to save a Word document you can edit and share
That's it — from one sermon, you now have a week's worth of ministry content ready to go.
